About us at A1 Flags and Poles

How it all started in 2009 traveling with my beautiful wife and I stopped for a few nights at Silver City RV Resort south of Carson City Nevada. When we pull into the RV park we notice an RV with a flagpole and USA flag. We had talked about getting a flagpole for our RV for a few years.

After getting our RV setup for the night, I walked down to look at the flagpole and started talking to the owner about where he brought his flagpole and mount. He told me that he sells the flagpoles and accessories. I was so excited that I purchased flagpole, ladder mount and USA flag.

I called my best friend to let him know that I had a surprise for him the next time we went camping.

On our way back home to Las Vegas I had this idea about selling the flagpoles and accessories to

help paid for the RV park fee. We found a supplier but required a business license.

We got a business license order some products and went camping and sold a few flagpole setups. Paid for our camping site that weekend.

One thing leads to another and customer want state, novelty, pirate, rebel and military flags. As the business grew we soon realized that we needed a website for customers to buy our products. After a few months our website was up and running.

I had another idea that we could try vending. In 2010 venture to Sturgis South Dakota for the motorcycle rally. Our vending site was at the Buffalo chip campground. The bikers / RVer’s love our flagpoles and flags. Each day the campground had more and more flags in the air. We continue vending at the Buffalo chip for the next 2 years.

My wife and I decided that we would give up the vending. We love to go camping and sell our products. In January 2018 we updated our website to be mobile friendly. Our customers love our excellent customer service.
